ABOUT FMC
 FMC Corporation, USA is one of the worlds leading producers of chemicals for Industry and Agriculture and it is represented in India through its wholly owned subsidiary, FMC India. FMC India has established a state-of-the-art R & D Centre focused on process chemistry at the Society for Innovation & Development in the IISc campus under the Collaborative Research Programme. It has a current strength of ten Scientists and Chemists. The Centre is involved in collaborative research with the Department of Organic Chemistry, IISc and also carries out process chemistry research for proprietary molecules.
The facility was set up in a period of six months and was commissioned in December 2001. Since then, there has been excellent progress in the research programme, thanks to the joint efforts of the dedicated team of Scientists and Chemists at the Centre and the Professors and researchers of IIScs renowned Department of Organic Chemistry.
